You'd heard much of the mysterious and treacherous desert, and decided to finally see it for yourself. You step gingerly on the dying grass near the border, and you stop for a minute to think about this. Eventually, you start heading off into the hot sands, ready for anything....almost.

At first you feel up to the long trek, but by midday, you want to collapse onto the hot sands and just die already. This doesn't feel worth it anymore...maybe if you turn back now, you can get back to where you started before sundown.

However, the moment you turn around, you are met with three slim cats. They had followed you from the border, and now they circled around you, the tallest one glaring down upon you with the ferocity of the burning sun.

As you take a step back with your ears flattened, the cat takes one step forward. "Remain calm. We will not hurt you, stranger...not yet anyway." The cat says calmly "But this is no place for an outsider. Only sand-cats can navigate these burning sands."

"so, the way I see it, you can either come with us to the safety of the our camp as a friend..." The feline suddenly smiles before continuing "...or, you can see how many creatures come out at night. It's quite a sight to behold."

You get the feeling that that was more of a warning than friendly talk...
